This elegant pair of late 18th century earrings hold beautifully cut colorless rock crystals in very simple pinched bezels. The tabular gems are cut to taper in size, each with a step down table. The earrings have blossom like decorations on the top and bottom the silver beautifully sculpted. The earrings are hinged above and below the center oval. The original wires were replaced with 18k yellow gold hinged posts and lever backs in the 20th century, which are hallmarked for France. The post can be folded down for non pierced ears, amazing engineering. Circa 1770-80, silver and 18k gold.

Please note that you Do Not want to get foiled closed-back gems wet, it will darken the stones.

Details.....These earrings are 2.55" long and .38" at the widest point. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels.
